These sources will help you find background information on your topic. 

This can help you:

• Discover which aspects of your topic are most important to other researchers.  Your instructor will likely expect you to address these areas.
• Find search terms.
• Learn basic facts about your topic that may help you narrow your search.

Use the Lee College Library catalog to find books and e-books.

To search for books about a specific subject:

• Type your subject into the search field and click the "Go" button.

Try stringing together several search terms to narrow your search.

Examples:

• [To look up the health benefits of yoga:]  yoga AND health
• [To find how people with disabilities can participate in sports:] sport AND disability

To find a specific item in the library:

• Pull down the menu to the left of the search box and choose "Title" or "Author."  Then enter the title or author of your item.
