Psychology: Databases

Articles & eResources

TIP: When looking for articles and electronic resources, your first stop will generally be OneSearch, accessible in the middle box.  However, since OneSearch searches many different library databases, sometimes you may want to search subject-specific databases, which could help remove some of the non-relevant results.  The subject databases related to psychology are listed in the Psychology Subject Databases box below the OneSearch box.

Searching for a phrase?

Putting it in quotation marks tells the search that you want that exact phrase, not just any of the words contained within it.

ex: "mental health"

What is a database?

Database is a collection of articles, book chapters and other information from reliable sources.

All of the resources in these databases come from magazines, newspapers, journals and books. Although they are delivered through the Internet, they are not considered "Internet Sources" by your instructors.

Articles from the databases may be printed, saved to a drive or emailed for later use.

Off campus access

You can use the databases from home! Click on the database link and when prompted enter your username and password.
