Don't forget to check companies' corporate websites.  They frequently provide information on the company's history, leaders, and financial documents, if the company is public.


To get a complete picture of a company, you should compare what the company says about itself with what writers and analysts outside the company report.

Find Business Articles

Find Company Profiles in Business Source Complete

The Business Source Complete database contains Company Profiles and Market Reports on companies and industries around the world.  Once you open the database, choose the "Company Profiles" search, as shown in the image below.

 

When you do a regular search, the database will retrieve relevant articles in html or pdf format.

SWOT Analysis

What is a SWOT Analysis?

 SWOT stands for:

  • Strengths                  

  • Weaknesses

  • Opportunities

  • Threats

Researchers determine what these factors are and how they affect the company's future.
