Searching for sacred texts

Sacred (religious) texts are usually considered primary sources. You can find find religious texts by searching:

NOTE:  Because many religious texts were originally authored in languages other than English, you should consider differences that may occur between editions of the same text translated by different people.  

Indigenous Religions

Please keep in mind that because many indigenous religious materials are transmitted in the oral tradition, texts below are re-creations of the original material.
